What this is
Match Day Math turns real World Cup fixtures into one short math mission a day for children aged 6 and up. Scores, kickoff times, and match odds become counting, comparison, and probability questions tuned to your child’s level: ages 6 to 8, 9 to 11, and 12 plus. You set the level once and can change it any time.
What your child learns
Match math first: number bonds, comparisons, time intervals, percentages, and averages, all anchored to games they care about. Probability literacy second: older children work with real betting odds as math objects and learn the lesson the odds themselves teach, that the numbers always add up in the house’s favor. The house always wins is a math fact here, taught years before anyone can gamble. Verification third: the app’s story runs on a simple question, when two claims disagree, how do you check? Children learn that real records can be tested and that “I heard it somewhere” is not evidence.
What this app deliberately does not do
No betting and no way to wager anything. No open chat and no contact with strangers. No ads. No timers and no streaks. One mission a day, on purpose, and the app closes its own door until tomorrow. A leaderboard exists but is off until you turn it on, and it only ever shows a nickname and an animal avatar.
The technology, honestly
You sign in once with a Solana wallet. Signing is free and is only an identity check; the app never asks for funds and never initiates a transaction. Match data comes from TxLINE by TxODDS, a sports data feed whose daily records are anchored on the Solana blockchain. Anchoring means a fingerprint of each day’s results is published where nobody, including us, can quietly edit it afterward. That is the entire blockchain angle: scores your child can check against a public record. In the app’s story this is called the Vault, and the checking is a game about catching a parrot’s rumors. Badges your child earns are saved the instant they are unlocked, so they are never lost. During this pilot each one is also minted as a compressed NFT to your connected wallet on Solana’s devnet, and your child’s Locker links to the exact transaction.
Your child’s data
Child profiles are a nickname, an animal, a kit color, and an age band. No real names, no photos, no email, nothing more. Answers are graded against a signed answer key and never used for anything else.
One mission a day, on purpose
The session ends itself. Nothing counts down, nothing expires, and a missed week costs nothing: the collection and the story wait. We want ten good minutes with real soccer in them, then dinner.
